Committee Presents The XY Generation-Power Surge The Aviara Real Estate Matrix Education Committee presented the XY Generation Power Surge to its April main event. A band of panelists stormed the stage and Aviara's representatives from the XY generation age bracket, those born 1961- 1981, Carrie Hoglund, Joel Reznick, Cyndi Cockrill, Darren Humphrey and Gabby Jeffers took front and center. These agents grew up in technology and "live for adaptability," stated panelist Joel Reznick. "What worked in the past to sell homes may still work in portions today; however, change is a part of this world…Internet usage is 73% of sales. My focus is to get my sellers in the best available spotlight via internet and find their buyers in the same forum." Reznick chairs the Internet Committee at the Conejo Valley Board of Realtors. Cockrill pointed out her ability to "soar with the eagles rather than flock with the turkeys" when she started at Aviara Real Estate, as she was able train with Aviara's successful agents who mentored her to success. She likened her arrival at Aviara as "being drafted to the Lakers." Different methods of internet usage to highlight listings were discussed in volumes. Rapid fire days on the market for this panel seemed to be the common thread. "When other listings are standing, I am closing" pointed out Jeffers. "It takes door knocking, email campaigns, mail outs, internet saturation, and networking and just in general, every technique that ever worked and all those I need to push find to out if they will work" quoted Jeffers, who is within the Reznick Group. Humphrey made note of long standing name recognition as a strong point contributing factor to his foundation of success. "The Humphrey Team name has held its strength for over 20 years, clients know we move houses. My job is to maintain to this concrete legacy of business and to deliver the communication of change both to my team and to our clients. Technology rules this generation. We even add a website to each of our listings to bring high definition to our sellers." Carrie Hogland made note of the fusion of strength passed to her from her mentors, Mike and Kim Plisky, as well as the educational opportunities available at Aviara to expand her knowledge base into the investment arena. "At other companies, where I came from, no one opened doors for me to grasp the world of success. At Aviara, veterans mentor, coach and share their talents so I can deliver successful closings for my clients. The contribution of such vast streams of knowledge, took me to the next level." The Educational Matrix closed with a proud moment shared by the owners of Aviara. Taking a moment to realize that "in four short years Aviara has accomplished so much more that just top Conejo Valley sales, name branding and rapid growth. Our halls are lined with this powerful generation of talent bridging Aviara into tomorrow and balancing us on the cutting edge of technology. Other doors are closing and we are going to run out of space," quoted Sandy Humphrey, one of Aviara's original owners.
