Endorses Pavley for Senate

Please join me in voting for Fran Pavley for Senate on June 3. I believe that by endorsing Fran Pavley, an experienced teacher, mayor, Agoura councilwoman, and three-term California State Assembly member, that the education of our children will be improved.

The education of tomorrow depends on the education dollars spend today. We need creative improvements in our state's future business plan. Fran brings the experience of creating over 70 bills as an Assembly woman, as well as her wealth of city government and environmental accomplishments.

She has an incredible network of working relationships throughout the state with county and city leaders. These connections are invaluable in effecting changes in policies and procedures.

Fran has served three terms in the California State Assembly and has focused on education, environment, consumer protection, public safety and designing her landmark legislation on global warming. This legislation was signed into law by Gov. Schwarzenegger right here at the Pepperdine Campus in Malibu. Other states and countries now look to this legislation as they draft their global warming bills.

Please go to her website to learn more information and to see the PBS documentary that features Fran Pavley. The website is franpavley.org. Thank you voting in this very important primary election.

The members of the LVUSD Board of Education and the local city officials who are also endorsing Fran Pavley are Terilyn Finders, Cindy Iser, Dave Moorman, and Jill Gaines and the mayors of all four local cities: John Edelston of Agoura Hills, Steve Freeland of Hidden Hills, Mary Sue Mauer of Calabasas and Philippa Kessig of Westlake.

Thank you for joining me in voting for a Senator who will help education, environment, and health care. She has helped us before and she will help us again when she is elected.
