Republicans on the economy

The Thousand Oaks Republican Women Federated will host a special event for the public on Wed., June 11 at the Westlake Village Inn, 32001 Agoura Road, Westlake Village.

A reception will begin at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. and then a program.

The program is titled "A Tale of Two Futures: McCain and the Democrats on National Security and the Economy."

Honored guests include Dr. Robert Kaufman, acting dean of the School of Public Policy of Pepperdine University, and Michael Shires, professor of public policy at Pepperdine University.

The cost is $45 per person. Reservations are due by Fri., June 6. Guests are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the Manna food pantry.
