Triunfo YMCA has something for all

Triunfo YMCA will offer summer day camp and summer school camp to campers entering kindergarten through eighth grade. The Y serves Agoura Hills, Oak Park and Westlake Village.

The Y also offers a counselorintraining program for youths entering ninth grade and up.

Day campers participate in onsite theme days and take field trips to locations including the beach, amusement parks, parks and pools. Children swim, play group games and make crafts.

The summer day camps are divided by age. Older campers may take all-day field trips, while the younger campers take smaller local trips. Each trained staff member supervises 10 children. Campers entering grades kindergarten and first grade will participate in Lil' Thunder Camp at Willows Elementary School, 29026 Laro Drive in Agoura Hills.

Campers entering second and third grades will be in Cyclone Camp and meet at White Oak Elementary School, 31761 West Village School Road in Westlake Village.

Children entering fourth and fifth grade take part in Shockwave Camp at Sumac Elementary School, 6050 North Calmfield Ave. in Agoura Hills.

Teen Scene is a camp for youths entering grades six through eight and will meet at Yerba Buena Elementary School, 6098 Reyes Adobe Road in Agoura Hills.

Fees start at $175 a week. Financial assistance is available.

The Triunfo YMCA is also offering a camp for summer school students attending classes through Las Virgenes and Oak Park Unified school districts. After school lets out each day, campers will participate in on-campus activities, swim and take local field trips.

Camp summer school is available for grades kindergarten through fifth grade for Las Virgenes students from June 30 through July 31 and also for Oak Park district students in kindergarten through eighth grades from June 17 through July 24.
