Local poll workers needed

Los Angeles County RegistrarRecorder/County Clerk's office says an additional 11,300 poll workers are needed to staff polling places for the June 3 primary election. Recruitment has been especially difficult in communities including Agoura Hills, Woodland Hills and Malibu, election officials say.

Poll workers must be available between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. to set up and close the polls and help voters.

Workers are paid $80 plus $25 for attending an hourandahalf hour training session.
