Oak Park students chosen for conference

Two students from Oak Park's Gifted And Talented Education program will attend the 10th annual GATE Leadership Conference this weekend, Thurs., May 15 to Sat., May 17.

Michael Ebert, 13, and Anish Puri, 14, were selected by conference organizers to represent Oak Park at the two-day regional event. They both attend Medea Creek Middle School.

The students will meet other GATE students from the region at Westmont College in Montecito and participate in events and skillbuilding meetings.

Michael has attended the Johns Hopkins University "Center for Talented Youth" programs at California Lutheran University for two years

Anish will attend a new Johns Hopkins program, "Mathematics and Money," at CLU this summer.
