Shelter gets a makeover

Fred Agoopi breaks ground for a new sandbox as his yellow labrador Cleo drops a ball at the feet of shelter volunteer Karla Halseth, an Agoura Hills resident, at the shelter in Agoura Hills last Sunday. The volunteers rebuilt animal beds, created a sandbox area and maintained the pens and animal living quarters.
