A big catch in Westlake
     SOMETHING FISHY- While on a break from work, Tom Taylor of Calabasas caught this 7.8pound bass in Westlake Lake using a plastic worm. The fish was released.

Shelter gets a makeover
     JANN HENDRY/Acorn Newspapers DIG IT- Agoura Animal Shelter L.A. County Sgt. Fred Agoopi breaks ground for a new sandbox as his yellow labrador Cleo drops a ball at the feet of shelter volunteer Karla Halseth, an Agoura Hills resident, at the shelter in Agoura Hills last Sunday. The volunteers rebuilt animal beds, created a sandbox area and maintained the pens and animal living quarters.
