Special needs youth takes starring role
      When "Charlotte's Web" opens at the Stage Door Theatre on May 18, 11-year-old Tori Maddis will step onstage in her first starring role. The Agoura Hills girl is playing Charlotte, the caring barn spider who befriends Wilbur the pig.

Honoring competition and camaraderie
     GOOD SPORT- Bill Webster, vice commodore of Association of Santa Monica Bay Yacht Clubs, awards the Diane Armstrong Award to Jackie Hollanderat the Westlake Yacht Club. The Agoura High School freshman was honored for showing qualities of competition, comraderie and sportsmanship in the yacht club's Junior Program.

White Oak Elementary Scouts share school beautification project
     GROWING TOGETHER- Blue Birds, Brownies and Girl Scouts from White Oak Elementary School in Westlake Village join forces to raise funds that will help spruce up the school. Here the Scouts gather for a dedication ceremony in front of a tree planted thanks to their efforts. Each troop created a stepping stone for the planter as well.

Winning barbershop group sings up a storm
     HARMONY- The Barbettes quartet, winner of the Oak Park High School Barbershop Mania 2008 competition, poses with Hi Fidelity, contest judges and 2006 Harmony Sweepstakes national a capella champions. SERVING IN UNIFORM
      Air Force Airman Brandon J. Hart has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, and earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He is the son of Steve Hart of Calabasas and a 2007 graduate of Oak Meadow High School in Chatsworth.
