The boys' golf teams from Westlake and Royal high schools entered the first of four Marmonte League championships Tuesday deadlocked in first place, with each team having lost only one league match all year- to each other. More ... The Ventura County Nike SPARQ football combine will take place Saturday at Calabasas High. Free registration will take place between noon and 2 p.m. Incoming freshmen and high school players are eligible to participate. More ... Three local lacrosse athletes announced their college commitments last week. Agoura attackman Mike Cammorata will be heading to the University of Arizona. Cammorata, who's led Agoura in goals and assists for three seasons, was named to the Southern California Lacrosse Association's first team as a junior. He was a secondteam member as a sophomore. The Oaks Christian boys' tennis team has wrapped up its third Tri-Valley League championship in the past four seasons, and for the first time in program history, the Lions are back-to-back league title winners. Entering Wednesday's TVL regular-season finale against Oak Park High, OCHS was 150 overall and 13-0 in league. More ... Thirtytwo schools competed in the 28th annual Royal Swim Invitational/Josh Mlakar Memorial Meet last weekend, but it was Oaks Christian that dominated the event. More ... For the third time this season, the Agoura High boys' volleyball team got the better of its rivals from Westlake. The Chargers' latest victory over the Warriors came Monday night at home in front of a raucous pro-Agoura crowd. More ... The Red Rockets U-12 girls' soccer team from AYSO Region 4 advanced to the finals at the California State Championships in Bakersfield.
