Beatles tribute band coming to town
      Cruisin' Oldies Concerts will present "Ticket to Ride: A Live Tribute to the Beatles," from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sat., May 3 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. "Ticket to Ride" is a "musical journey through the best of The Beatles" from their early hits through the Sgt. Pepper era.

Bears are YMCA flag football champs
     TRIUNFO TRIUMPH- The Bears take the title in the Triunfo Canyon YMCA flag football league for 7-8 year olds. The Bears finished the season with an undefeated 10-0 record. Squirrel of the Month
     CONTORTIONIST- - Mihoko Kubo, a fifth-grader at Wildwood Elementary, tells us, "This is the best squirrel picture we have. If my picture gets chosen, will you please put my name on the newspaper?" Mihoko also mentioned that he calls his subject "The Stretchable Squirrel" because it's stretching from the fence to the feeder. CSUN to host art show
      Cal State Northridge will host the annual juried art student show from Fri., April 25 through May 21 in the West Gallery on campus, 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge. The exhibition features work by graduate and undergraduate art students at CSUN. About 70 works were chosen by art professionals from more than 300 entries.

Middle school to perform 'Beauty and Beast'
      The A.E. Wright Middle School drama club will perform the hit musical "Beauty and the Beast" at 7 p.m. tonight, Thurs. and Fri., April 17 and 18 at Class Act Theatre, in Woodland Hills. Sydney Isaac stars as Belle and Ryan Rosenheim stars as the Beast.
