YMCA looking for board members

The Southeast Ventura County YMCA is looking for community leaders to join its volunteer board of directors.

Board members must demonstrate values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and have a strong interest in furthering goals and programs of the YMCA.

The Y is looking for board members from a variety of professions and experiences to create a group with diverse thinking.

Board candidates need to live or work in the area served by the Southeast Ventura County YMCA. Members serve threeyear terms and are required to attend monthly board meetings and serve on at least one of the YMCA's standing committees.

The committees are board development, finance, financial development, marketing, properties and facilities, and risk management and human resources.

The four branches of the Southeast Ventura County YMCA are the Conejo Valley YMCA serving Thousand Oaks and Moorpark; the Miller Family YMCA serving Newbury Park; the Triunfo YMCA serving Westlake Village, Agoura Hills and Oak Park; and the Simi Valley Family YMCA.
