Basketball tournament fundraiser to benefit ALS research

NP The fifth annual Ernie Wallengren Memorial Hoopfest will be held May 17 at Calabasas High School, 22855 W. Mulholland Hwy.

The event is a charity tournament to raise funds for ALS research. Teams, of five to 10 players, will be guaranteed at least two games against similar competition.

Skill levels from beginner to competitive will be represented.

The tournament will feature team matches, silent auction, and a three point shooting contest.

Entry fee is $50 per player, $20 for students.

A $75 allinclusive package is available, which includes entrance fee, one round three-point shooting contest, $20 food and drink credit and a T-shirt.
