At The Library

The Agoura Library has announced its events for April. All events are at the library, 29901 Ladyface Court, Agoura Hills. For more information, call (818) 889-2278.

•A National Library Week tea party will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sat., April 12. Local celebrities will read award-winning books to children and bookmark contest winners will be presented.

•Three events will take place Sat., April 19. Yvonne Brooks will host a financial planning seminar for teens and parents from 11 a.m. to noon.

A teen gaming tournament will be from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Gloria Peach will hold a handwriting analysis workshop from 2 to 4 p.m.

•Author Barry Shrewsbury will talk to parents about teaching their children how to swim at 6:30 p.m. Tues., April 22. Shrewsbury will also sell copies of his book, "Luca Learns to Swim."

•The library will hold spring storytime through Wed., June 4. Storytime for three to fiveyearolds will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays. Toddler storytime for ages 1 to 3 will be at 11 a.m. Wednesdays.

Stories, music and art activities will be included.

•The Book Cellar is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., selling books for children and adults, books on tape, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, magazines and more. Paperback books start at 50 cents, hardcover books $1. Donations are accepted.
