Pepperdine to present 'Hamlet' classic

Forum will follow performance

The Pepperdine University Fine Arts Division Theatre Department will present William Shakespeare's "Hamlet" at 7:30 p.m. Tues. through Sat., April 8 to 12 at the campus' Smothers Theatre, 24255 Pacific Coast Hwy., Malibu.

Directed by A. Bryan Humphrey, the production sets the actors in a run-through rehearsal of the play.

The set, designed by Pepperdine adjunct professor Rick Aglietti, consists of multilevel platforms in various stages of construction. Carol Ann Hack's costumes are basic rehearsal clothes with Shakespearean touches.

There will be a forum for discussion following Wednesday's performance.

Tickets, priced at $15 for the public, $10 for full-time Pepperdine students with ID, and $12 for Pepperdine faculty and staff with ID, are available at Pepperdine Center for the Arts box office at (310) 506-4522.
