'Open Wednesdays' encourages dialogue from cities in Ventura County

The Ventura County Community Foundation will host "Open Wednesdays" from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wed., April 2 at Westlake City Hall, 31200 Oak Crest Drive, Westlake Village.

"Open Wednesdays" is a 10city community conversation throughout Ventura County, engaging local nonprofits, donors, community leaders and elected officials around key community priorities for future grantmaking. The event provides an opportunity for community leaders to share with VCCF how priorities around key issues such as education, health care, development and workforce training, nonprofit capacity and stability, youth leadership, the arts, nursing, scholarships for college and the workforce, and other priorities should be reflected in the foundation's programs, services and community grantmaking.

The foundation is updating its strategic planning goals and believes that input from each community is critical to its mission.

To RSVP for the event, call the foundation at (805) 9880196, ext. 222.

The Ventura County Community Foundation, a family of charitable funds whose combined assets now exceed $110 million, promotes philanthropy to improve communities. For more information, visit www.vccf.org.
