Free guides available for Santa Monica Mountains

Free copies of "Outdoors in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area" are available at the National Park Service Visitor Center, or by calling (805) 370-2301. The visitor center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week, excluding some holidays.

"Outdoors in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area" highlights popular programs such as "From Set to Screen" at the Paramount Ranch, as well as walks, hikes and talks on local flora and fauna.
