      The Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District presents a special performance on Fri., March 21 at the Camarillo Café, 515 Eubanks St. at the Camarillo Airport. Open stage/microphone begins at 8 p.m. Sign-up is required. The feature performers, The MacMammals and Southcoast, begin at 9:30 p.m.

Movie filmed in T.O. will premiere
      "Wreck the Halls," a new movie starring Thousand Oaks residents Megan Ashley, 9, and Mickey Rooney, 87, will have its world premiere in competition at the International Family Film Festival on March 2 at Raleigh Studios, 5300 Melrose Ave., Hollywood.

Conejo Players are honking
      Conejo Players will presents "Honk Jr." beginning Sat., March 1 at the Conejo Players Theatre, 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. "Honk Jr." is a musical based on Hans Christian Anderson's "The Ugly Duckling" with music by George Stiles and book and lyrics by Anthony Drewe.

Westlake artist to exhibit work
      Westlake Village artist Robert Norgel will present a one-man show, running March 7 to 28 at the Doyon Studio and Gallery, 1390 Flynn Road in Camarillo. Norgel was born in Milwaukee, Wis., and taught in that state before moving to California in 1967. His recent paintings reflect personal memories of the American Midwest.
