Community mobilized as Oak Park speeding gets out of hand
Racing and alcohol prove to be a recipe for disaster on Kanan Road
A 48-year-old Oak Park man was airlifted to UCLA last weekend with serious injuries following an apparent high-speed race on Kanan Road just north of Tamarind Street in Oak Park. JANN HENDRY Acorn Newspapers UP THE CREEK- A paddleboat becomes stuck on a log just before spilling over the Lake Lindero dam at Lake Lindero Drive in Agoura Hills. A second boat about 50 feet away on the lake was also seen adrift following last weekend's heavy rains. Locally, the seasonal rainfall for the Conejo Valley is more than 9.5 inches, easily above average.
