Coffee squatters should leave
      I'd like to gripe about the laptop users who have taken over the local coffee hangouts. It is no longer possible to go into Peet's or Starbucks and find a table to sit at. Most of the tables are for the long-term use of those with laptops. I might add, that for one cup of coffee or latte, they stay for hours at a time.

Conflict of interest is the new Heschel talking point
      The Jan. 17 letter by Jess Thomas regarding the Heschel School project highlighted Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky's duplicitous hypocrisy and the apparent unethical collusion between Zev's deputy, Ben Saltzman, and Heschel attorney Ben Reznic. I would like to add a post script.

Reader opposes school due to excessive traffic
      I applaud Jess Thomas, president of the Old Agoura Homeowners Association, for writing the letter regarding the Heschel school project. The Heschel project is one that will affect the daily lives of everyone living in the entire city of Agoura as well as any one needing to use the 101 Freeway system or Driver Avenue.
