Viewpoint middle school math wizards receive national recognition
      Six students from Viewpoint School in Calabasas will receive national recognition for their performance in the 2007 American Mathematics Competition8 contest. Annie Christian of Calabasas ranked nationally in the 98th percentile among eighth graders and Evan Bernstein of West Hills in the 99th percentile among seventh graders.

Teen artists sought for InnerSpark summer program
      The California State Summer School for the Arts (InnerSpark) invites high school-age visual, literary, media and performing artists to apply for selection as California Arts Scholars. The scholars will attend the 22nd annual summer arts program on the campus of the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia from July 14 through Aug. 11.

La Reina entrance exam is Feb. 2
      La Reina High School will hold an entrance placement test on Sat., Feb. 2 at the school, 106 W. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. Applicants may also choose to spend a day at the school to visit classes and meet students and faculty.

Oak Park Choir members chosen for honors ensemble
      Four members of the Oak Park High School Choir have been selected for the 2008 California All State Honors choir. Francesca Corley, Andrew Karl, Laura Miller and Michael Potter were selected from among 1,500 students from across the state on the basis of their audition scores.

Discounted golf tourney tickets available
      The Oak Park High School Boys Golf Program is selling discounted tickets to the 2008 Northern Trust Open, set for Feb 14 to 17 at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades. The $25 tickets can be purchased from Oak Park Golf for $15, with $13 from each ticket going to the golf program.
