JOINING HANDS- Members of the Valley Thunder basketball program present Tracey and David Buelow with a $5,000 donation to the Max of a Million Dreams Foundation. Players and coaches of the Valley Thunder basketball program recently donated $5,000 to Tracey and David Buelow, directors of the Max of a Million Dreams Foundation.

The foundation was established by the Buelows after their son, Max, passed away in March 2006 from Ewing's sarcoma (bone cancer). The foundation funds research into Ewing's sarcoma and other rare forms of cancer.

For the second consecutive year, Valley Thunder basketball players have participated in a Shoot for the Stars program, collecting pledges from supporters and shooting more than 1,000 free-throws.

In addition to their support to Max of a Million Dreams, players also provided a complete Christmas celebration for two families of children receiving treatment for critical illness.
