School district needs volunteers for committee

The Las Virgenes Unified School District Board of Education is seeking volunteers to serve on the Measure E Oversight Committee.

The districtwide committee is responsible for monitoring the allocation and use of funds collected from the $98peryear parcel tax renewed by voters in November.

Members periodically report to the school board on the projects that the tax supports.

The committee has two open positions.

Prospective members should send a letter of interest outlining their background and qualifications to the Las Virgenes Unified School District, 4111 N. Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas, CA 91302, Attention: Karen Kimmel, CPA, or fax it to (818) 8785257.

The deadline for letters of interest is Tues., Jan. 15.
