History lesson

Dan Crissafulli's letter of Dec. 6 states that "Oak Park was not yet a reality" when he moved to Agoura 27 years ago (1980). In fact, Oak Park's master plan was approved by Ventura County before 1965 and the first homes were built in 1966.

My parents moved here in 1967, 15 years before Agoura Hills became a city, and live in Oak Park today.

That early master plan was never compromised and Oak Park is today one of the most desirable places to live in this country, its schools (every one of them included in that original plan) and parklands second to none.

I have an original copy of the master plan that was given to prospective buyers and will share it with anyone curious about what a real community plan should look like. Ian Dennelly Oak Park
