Time to clean up the neighborhood

This is in response to Norm Pangracs letter of Dec. 6. I think it is great that you are rolling up your sleeves and picking up litter to help beautify our community. However, I find it highly objectionable that you are encouraging people to break the law.

You wrote that you thought it would be a "good idea if potential employers of these day workers would choose the ones who are actively cleaning up along the roadside." I believe it would be better idea if immigration agents would actively clean up the illegal aliens along the roadside by arresting them and sending them back to their own countries.

It would also be a great idea if local law enforcement cleaned up the roadside by arresting those "potential employers." Robert Quinn Agoura Hills
