Digital TV storage space gets bigger

TenLab, an Agoura Hills company, has designed the TenBox, a high-definition TV and multimedia storage box created to expand the capacity of DirectTV's hi-def receivers plus DVRs.

According to the company, the TenBox device increases DirecTV recording capacity by up to 660 percent- up to 1,300 hours of regular programming or up to 330 hours of highdefinition programming.

Regular DVRs (digital video recorders) have a small storage capacity, and viewers often delete unwatched programs to make room for new recordings.

TenBoxes are available with recording capacities of 1, 1.5 and 2 terabytes. For more information, call TenLab at (818) 7068120 or visit www.tenbox.net.
