Moorpark College to present holiday show The Moorpark College Performing Arts Center and the Moorpark College Theatre Arts, Music and Dance programs will present "A Holiday Extravaganza," a fundraising benefit for the Performing Arts Center, for one night only at 7 p.m. Sun., Dec. 16 on the campus PAC Main Stage, 7075 Campus Road, Moorpark. The evening includes an original oneact holiday comedy, "The List," a wine and cheese reception in the theater lobby and improv, music and dance performances by Moorpark College students. "The List" is written by Los Angeles playwright Johnny Cho, directed by theater arts faculty member John Loprieno and features performances by professional actors Nick Amado, Patricia Rigney and Adrian Colon. "The List" tells the story of a disgruntled father, Keith, who travels to the North Pole to find out why his son was recorded on the "naughty list" as he seeks to correct this error. He doesn't get far as he's greeted by Santa's receptionist and legal representative. After several twists, Keith realizes that perhaps he himself is the answer to granting his son a reprieve and a shift to the "nice list." "The List" was originally produced by Fran Montano at the Actor's Workout Studio in Los Angeles. Admission to the evening is $16 for adults, $9 for seniors and Moorpark faculty and staff, and $8 for students and children. All proceeds will be used to maintain the Performing Arts Center.
