Wyckoff named branch manager

Matthew Wyckoff has joined First Bank as a branch manager at the bank's Westlake Village office, 2797 Agoura Road.

Wyckoff will be responsible for all aspects of branch management including customer service, marketing, business development, sales activities and budget projections. He has more than 16 years of banking experience.

Wyckoff attends Pepperdine University and is a board member for the Valley Women's Center in Canoga Park.

First Bank is one of the largest privately owned banks in the country with more than $10.3 billion in assets and 195 locations in four states.

Joseph Wahl caters to babies

Joseph Wahl Arts has been selling and building furniture and accessories for children for more than 15 years.

Recently they opened a related store exclusively geared to baby furnishings called joeybaby. The new shop is described by a store spokesperson as "a hip baby boutique . . . very cool and eclectic."

Featured items include modern and vintage furniture, bedding, layette, gifts and room decor. Nursery and room design services are also available.

Aframian is a cut above

The new owner of Paris Cut Salon in Agoura Hills is Gila Aframian.

At the age of 18, Aframian opened her own salon in Israel. She continued with her training and education in various places, including France. Her salon received first place in a regional competition.

Aframian moved to California in 1991 and worked in several salons before taking over the ownership of Paris Cut Salon at 5631 Kanan Road.

Greenraising, an Agoura Hillsbased company specializing in eco-friendly and fair trade fundraising for nonprofits, finished third in the nation in the "greenest" category in the inaugural StartupNation Home-Based 100 ranking of home-based businesses.
