Westlake resident receives service award

Deborah Hang of Westlake Village was named the recipient of the William E. Hamm Outstanding Service Award during California Lutheran University's Community Leaders Association auction on Oct. 27,

Hang has provided the organization with leadership and support for 10 years.

She has served terms as the association's president and treasurer, and she chaired the Mathews Leadership Forum for two years.

She has served on many CLA committees, sponsored the organization's auctions and golf tournaments, and opened up her home for several events. She is also a supporter of the university's Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival.

The William E. Hamm Award is named in honor of a former CLU vice president.
