Countrywide's weathering tough economic times

As many of you know, the past few months have been difficult for banks and other financial services firms, particularly those in the mortgage industry and especially for Countrywide. But while the news seems to be everywhere lately, the story is really here, in our backyard.

Every day, thousands of proud Countrywide employees, many of whom are our neighbors, go to work in Thousand Oaks, Calabasas, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Westlake Village and nearby areas.

While they each have a specific job, we all have an overarching mission, one that began nearly 40 years ago: help people achieve and maintain homeownership.

Additionally, at Countrywide Bank our mission is to help people maximize their savings. So, while we continue to work through this challenging period in our company's history, it's important for you to know that our commitment to the communities where we work and live has never been stronger; our pledge to help people achieve and maintain homeownership is unwavering, and our promise to do all we can do to help you save for the future is steadfast.
