Conejo Players now casting for two shows
Actors may try out for classic musical, children's show

Conejo Players Theatre will hold auditions for two upcoming shows.

"The King and I" auditions will be at 7:30 p.m. Sun. and Mon., Nov. 25 and 26 at 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. Callbacks will be at 7:30 p.m. Tues., Nov. 27.

Auditions for "Honk! Jr." will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sun., Mon. and Tues., Dec. 2 through 4 at the theater. Callbacks will be Wed., Dec. 5.

For "The King and I" bring a resume or list experience on the back of the audition form.

For both shows, prepare 16 bars of a standard musical theater song- no pop music- and bring sheet music in the proper key or an instrumental CD recording. A pianist will be provided.

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes to perform a combination of dance moves. Actors will also do cold readings from the script.

Appointments are not necessary. There is no pay.

Rehearsals for "The King and I" will be Dec. 3 through Jan. 18. Bring a list of conflicts with rehearsal schedule.
