A traffic tale

Fair citizens of Agoura and Oak Park, I pray thee, patience. Reading the last several weeks' of letters in The Acorn, I still hear the rumblings of discontent over our newly renovated Kanan exchange.

Each morning, I too experience the maddening cutting off of vehicles, nudging their way onto the southward entry. Granted, perhaps in hindsight, the decision to "improve" traffic flow by going from two lanes to one wasn't the best, but I bid thee, take heart, and let the hope in all of us lie upon our venerable mayor, who, as you all remember not long ago in a letter to the editor, acknowledged the complaints and promised to return to Caltrans and alleviate the hurdles we local commuters face daily.

Now that Mr. Kuperberg has been re-elected, I'm sure he'll make this his highest priority in his next term. If it comes down to a lack of funds, the city can always trade in dozens of plastic pylons and some bright neonlit "no turn signs." Blaine Ziolkowski Agoura Hills
