Rent increases are hard to take
      Thank you very much for your article about the rent increases at Archstone Calabasas. I have lived there for over seven years. The rent increases since Archstone bought the complex have been outrageous. I am so glad someone is speaking out about it.

Why not have local rent control?
      I am writing in response to the Nov. 15 story "Renters fed up with constant cost increases." I was outraged that Archstone is ripping the renters off and the mayor and council just look the other way. If the city doesn't do something about it, who can? Enact rent control.

Roundabout not the answer
      So there is going to be a roundabout built at Kanan and Agoura roads. I was just wondering if the same person who designed the debacle at Kanan and the 101 was going to design this also? Can we slow down traffic on Kanan any more or make it any more dangerous than it already...

Saddened by Lupin Hill story
      I was both sadden and disturbed to read the story in The Acorn (Nov. 15) about the incident in the rest room at Lupin Hill Elementary School, but I wasn't angry. Sodomy by 8year-olds is so rare that there were obviously other factors at play.

      I've read the articles for the last two weeks and heard all the newscasts about the subject. You see, I have a boy in the fourth grade at Lupin Hill Elementary in Calabasas. My older boys have also gone to Lupin Hill.
