Calabasas resident makes dean's list at music college

Julie Sachs, 21, of Calabasas was named to the dean's list for the summer 2007 semester at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass.

Sachs has been playing piano since she was 5 years old. "No big deal for most kids," said her mother, Alva Sachs. "But Julie was a 1pound, 5-ounce premature baby that entered this world with all the odds against her."

Julie Sachs is a graduate of Calabasas High School.
