Crossing guard uses psychology People who drive are subject to psychology. Let me explain. I have been a school crossing guard for approximately seven years. The school I tried to protect in 2006 installed non-lighted stop signs and painted "stop" on the asphalt street. The sign also said automobiles should come to a complete stop. Approximately 25 percent would drive without stopping. So I thought of an idea. When I work in the morning and evening I pretend that I'm clicking a monitor in my hand. This idea has cut the 25 percent down to approximately 5 percent. Now all you drivers that have been deceived by my method, don't get mad. Think about this: while you're driving with your cellphone or putting on makeup or eating or drinking, this deception influenced you to save a life or many lives. Morris Rousso Oak Park |
