Gourd artist to host workshop

A free family craft workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sun., Nov. 18 at the Rancho Sierra Vista/ Satwiwa Native American Indian Cultural Center at Lynn Road and Via Goleta in Newbury Park.

Nadiya Littlewarrior will lead the workshop, where participants will learn to create an ornament or necklace from a gourd. Littlewarrior is a Potawatomi gourd artist.
