Oak Park survey says yes to schools
Most respondents chose to move to Oak Park for the quality of its education

Architect chosen for performing arts centers

Calabasas resident makes dean's list at music college
      Julie Sachs, 21, of Calabasas was named to the dean's list for the summer 2007 semester at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. Sachs has been playing piano since she was 5 years old. "No big deal for most kids," said her mother, Alva Sachs.

Admissions interviews
      At the recent USC counselor conference, we read applications submitted by last year's freshmen hopefuls. One of the files included a report written by an interviewer, who described the prospective student as "boring." It was jarring to see a respected admissions officer label this student a dud.
