Conejo Players open two comedies

Conejo Players Theatre in Thousand Oaks will present two classic comedies this fall.

•"You Can't Take It With You" will run from Nov. 15 through Dec. 15.

Showtimes are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Sunday Nov. 18 and Dec. 9.

The show, written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, shows what happens when a boy from a reserved, conservative family becomes engaged to a girl from a family with a carefree, free-wheeling philosophy.

The production is directed by Shawn W. Lantz and produced by Deirdre Parmenter.

Tickets are $14 for Thursday performances, $16 Fridays and Sundays, and $18 Saturdays and opening night.

•The Noel Coward farce "Blithe Spirit" will open on Nov. 24 and run through Dec. 15.

In the play, a writer, hoping to collect material for his new book, invites a medium to conduct a seance in his home, which she does with surprising success.

Showtimes are Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. and Sun., Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 per person.

The theatre is at 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.
