Philippa Klessig is their choice

Voting for someone to run a city is something to be taken very seriously. Voting for someone who happens to be a friend of yours or simply a nice person is not strong or smart criteria.

Voting for someone who has experience in your city's government, who spends an enormous amount of time researching what's best for your city and then implementing the processes to accomplish those goals is the right person to vote for.

Philippa Klessig clearly understands the importance of maintaining the city's financial health while providing public safety services, city beautification and community family events we all want.

You will not find a more experienced, forthright, knowledgeable and dedicated person running for the Westlake Village City Council. Kris Carraway-Bowman Westlake Village

I have known Philippa Klessig for 20 years and seen her support our community in many different roles. I met her as a mother of a kindergartner at White Oak Elementary. During this period, Philippa was very active in the PFC, classroom, and supported the art program.

Philippa has also been a big supporter of her local community by participating in organizations like Boys & Girls Club, Casa Pacifica and New West Symphony. Working alongside her, plus being a close friend, has given me a good view of Philippa's character and leadership abilities. As a leader, she has been innovative, energetic, knowledgeable and honest. As a friend, Philippa has been loyal, empathetic, giving and fun.

These attributes are ones that I want in a Westlake Village City Council member. I urge everyone to please reelect Philippa Klessig on Nov. 6. Cherolyn Rode Westlake Village

Integrity, vision, and commitment are the qualities we need in the Westlake Village City Council. Philippa Klessig has demonstrated these qualities as our representative on the Westlake City Council.

We have all seen the results of her leadership on the City Council over the last four years and as our mayor pro tem since December 2006. Her integrity is apparent in everything she does.

Philippa is a "people person" who listens and engages everyone in governing our community.

Her business experience in landscape and xeriscape design makes her environmentally sensitive. The beautification projects she has spearheaded throughout the city of Westlake Village are apparent to everyone.

She also is acutely aware of the financial planning necessary to maintain our wonderful way of life.

Philippa has proven that she has the integrity, vision, and commitment to assure we maintain the quality of life we now enjoy. Our votes for Philippa count for a strong and responsive City Counsel. Alix Schaefer Westlake Village
