Other voters are anti-Kirschbaum In my opinion as an experienced sales guy, many of my fellow residents are being sold a bill of goods by Westlake City Council candidate Carol Kirschbaum. Don't be fooled by the token words and a smile. Telling people that there are boat slips available at the lake when we all know that the waiting list is years long- that's just wrong. I say "no thank you." I'll gladly place my vote with the other candidates. I hope you all do the same. Tom Hogan Westlake Village Last week, Carol Kirschbaum came by my house seeking my endorsement for City Council. After a few minutes discussing some of the issues about our city, I indicated that I would support her candidacy. However, after hearing several contradictory messages from what I believed her positions to be, I now will vote for someone else. I am not blaming Mrs. Kirschbaum for our misunderstanding. I just want those who know me to realize that I am not endorsing her. Alan Hopkins Westlake Village I keep looking at the information from Carol Kirschbaum and I just don't get it. Just because she voted no on Z, she thinks she's qualified to run a city? Anyone can say that something is a bad idea, but it takes strong leadership to move things from ideas to solutions. The City Council is made up of hardworking people who essentially volunteer their time and talents. They need to work together to get things done, and they need to be able to listen to one another, especially those who have differing points of view. Ms. Kirschbaum hasn't shown that she can do that. A council member is supposed to represent everyone in the city, not just their friends that may live in a sheltered island environment. Of all the candidates, Kirschbaum has voiced the least support for our kids, whether it's of the schools, the sports park, or in general. Does she not realize that strong schools and community are what make Westlake Village a great place to live? Renee Iannone Westlake Village |
