Carol Kirschbaum speaks out

I would like to address the two letters written in your Oct. 25 publication, regarding the traffic impact of the Lowe's development and the other letter regarding boat slip availability at the Westlake Public Marina.

For the record, and for clarification, the information I reported regarding traffic and impact was taken directly from the Lowe's Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) dated Oct. 25, 2005. The number of boat slips available at the Marina was provided to me by the Westlake Lake Management Association office on the day of the debate, and can be verified by contacting WLMA.

There are a lot of wonderful people working on my campaign and many residents of our community supporting my efforts in this election. For this reason, it is important for me to correct and clarify the above and to maintain the trust they have in me and my ability to research and report the facts correctly.
