Readers support Ned Davis

It appears there is a bright new star on the horizon- Ned Davis for Westlake Village City Council. We attended the Oak Forest debate in order to listen to and meet the four candidates running for Westlake Village City Council. We went with a pre-conceived idea as to who we would vote for. After listening with open minds, our votes were changed to include Ned Davis.

We have since had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with him. We believe that his professional talents in the area of business, leadership and management will assure thoughtful representation to suit the needs of all of us in Westlake Village. It would certainly be wonderful if everyone in Westlake Village had the opportunity to meet personally with Ned Davis. It is a refreshing experience and we know he could win hands down. I am writing to express my strong endorsement of Ned Davis for Westlake Village City Council. I have known Ned for many years. He is thoughtful, focused, hard working, enthusiastic and of the highest integrity.

As fellow members of the Council's Cultural Recreation Advisory Board, I have seen him in action on behalf of our city on a variety of topics, including the improvement of our city parks. He addresses every project and issue with an open and creative mind, not with an agenda or pre-set notion. He actively listens to all sides and seeks to find the common ground on behalf of all advocates and citizens.

Being a member of the City Council is an important and serious job. We need proven leaders who have the experience, skills and focus to reach sensible decisions and provide the energy and drive to implement those decisions. Ned exemplifies these attributes and we are fortunate that Ned has put his hat in the ring in the service of our city.

I urge all voters to seize this unique opportunity and vote for Ned Davis on Nov. 6. Scott Thompson Westlake Village
