His father brings people together

Though I am still in high school, it is quite obvious to me that this great town has become polarized. Now, more than ever, Westlake Village needs a candidate who can unify its citizens and provide balanced leadership. This candidate would be none other than my father, Ned Davis.

My father has taught me through example. He makes decisions based on understanding. Understanding is another key word that should be considered when examining the four candidates. My father seeks and looks at all the facts and makes decisions on factual understandings.

I am so thankful that I can go off to college and return to my hometown knowing it will be in good hands, knowing that the newly elected Ned Davis will be working for a bright future instead of dwelling on the recent past. My dad approaches issues optimistically, always looking for the greater good.

It seems many have lost sight and faith in our common goals. We all want to "preserve the village" but what I don't see enough of in other campaigns is compassion, friendship and community, three principles that make Westlake Village special.

Candidates make promises but never follow through. We see this in all elections. If you ask anyone who has worked with him on any of his many involvements, they will tell you that Ned Davis will keep his promises and has the courage to take actual action.

I am too young to vote but I urge everyone who cares about the future of Westlake Village to examine the reputations of the candidates, their demonstrated commitment, and character. Harmony is how we move forward together. My father is a "harmonizer." He brings people together. It's who he is. Colin Davis Westlake Village
