Bowls of Hope project to benefit Many Mansions
Fundraiser offers soup meal, silent auction

Many Mansions will host its third annual Bowls of Hope Project from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sun., Nov. 11 at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu.

This event is designed to spread awareness about the homeless, the need for affordable housing and Many Mansions' service programs

Civic leaders, volunteers and amateur and professional artists have created more than 800 bowls for this event. Guests receive a bowl of their choice and proceed to a soup line where dignitaries, sponsors and supporters serve a simple meal of gourmet soups and bread, many donated by restaurants in the Conejo Valley.

Guests may browse the art gallery and bid on silent auction items in the merchant market. The gallery will feature artwork by kindergarten through collegeaged students attending schools in the Conejo Valley and beyond.

The merchant market will include auction items such as dinner at the Firehouse, handpainted celebrity bowls and wine packages. The prize of the opportunity drawing is a getaway for two to the Four Seasons in Westlake Village. Michael Meros, former member of the Beach Boys, will provide live music.

Tickets are $25 pre-sale or $30 at the door.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Many Mansions' Services Department, which provides such services as the afterschool homework/literacy program, Teen Club, holiday gift program, Camp Many Mansions, on-site service coordination, case management and emergency food assistance.

For more information or tickets, call (805) 496-4948, ext. 236, or visit www.manymansions.org.
