Red Oaks offers free parenting class

The Red Oaks Center, a nonprofit adolescent counseling center in Thousand Oaks, will present a free parenting workshop for parents of middle and high school students, "Parenting Your Teenager," from 6 to 10 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 8 at the First Neighborhood Community Center, 31830 Village Center Road, Westlake Village.

The class will cover issues such as Internet use, drugs and alcohol, friends and siblings, cellphones and school-related topics.
