Thumbs up for Carol Kirschbaum

Carol Kirschbaum would be a refreshing and positive addition to Westlake Village City Council. For the past seven years I have known her, she has proven to be a person of high integrity who is giving, caring, good natured, intelligent, dignified, an effective communicator, leader and organizer.

Even more, she has good common sense and is professional in every way, making her highly qualified to be a city councilperson with the opportunity to serve Westlake Village, the city she holds so dear.

With Carol on the Westlake Village City Council, I would feel confident that issues important to me and our city, such as building a community center while still maintaining our "village" atmosphere, would be front and center. Diane Addison Westlake Village

God bless America- we have choices. One of my choices for Westlake Village City Council is Carol Kirschbaum. I have served as a fellow board member on many charitable and community organizations with her over the past 13 years. She is a "can do" person.

Carol has the time, the commitment and the ability to tackle any issue presented to her. Carol is able to readily focus on the heart of a problem and deal with the crux of the matter. She is a team player who shows respect for others, listens well and makes good decisions after doing due diligence. I urge you to choose Carol Kirschbaum too. Patricia Cordover Westlake Village

After attending the recent debate among the candidates running for Westlake Village City Council, one overriding idea became perfectly clear: we need change. While putting to put the past behind us, we must also look to the future of this beautiful city. The council needs balance and diversity and Carol Kirschbaum will bring these qualities.

It is evident listening to Carol that she believes in studying the issues and making informed decisions with input from the community. Carol is a consensus builder with proven negotiation skills.

Carol highlighted her desire to see sensible growth utilizing the experience of professionals in evaluating projects. A planning committee like our neighbor cities uses will help us to ensure all future projects will benefit the city while promoting the continuity of our village. Architectural standards must be established and maintained, ensuring that we not allow any developer to alter the look of our community.

Carol spoke to the issues of safety, discussing the addition of sidewalks and street lighting where appropriate. She put forth some interesting ideas to help with noise pollution, a challenge in our growing city, and she promoted the idea of a senior/teen center.

I would hope that we all have the same goals for our city, even if we have different ideas of how to achieve them. Let's move in a positive new direction and elect Carol Kirschbaum to City Council. Michelle Sievers Westlake Village
