Philippa Klessig is right for Westlake

Although I live in Calabasas and do not vote for the city of Westlake Village Council members, I did have an excellent business experience with Philippa Klessig that really addresses her skills, abilities and honesty.

Philippa took on the task of a complete redo of the landscaping at our new home. She presented the most professional layout, did her homework and did everything she said she would and met her time table. The job ended up right on budget and even more beautiful than we had expected.

As a businessman with a successful 47-year career, I can attest to this lady's ability, strengths and commitment. George A. Weinstock Calabasas

As a resident of Westlake Village since 1968 and the representative of its residents to the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, I will vote to re-elect Philippa Klessig to the Westlake Village City Council.

Klessig is very bright, well organized and fully commited to her responsibilities. One may not agree with all her positions, but I believe that no other council person has worked harder to be well informed on issues and to make the best decisions. She does not take the easy road to simply accept the status quo or accept shallow information; she asks questions and researches before deciding.

Illustrative of the above is the fact that in the last four years Ms. Klessig has made more inquiries of me as to water and sewer issues effecting our mutual constituents than all of the remaining City Council people and the city manager combined.

Philippa Klessig is dedicated to your well-being. Joseph M. Bowman

Westlake Village

It is a pleasure to live in a city where the City Council continually devotes its time and efforts on our behalf. Our beautiful city with its parkways full of trees, flowers and stone monuments did not happen by accident. Dedicated citizens have stepped forward year after year to improve our quality of life.

Philippa Klessig is one of those outstanding people who have worked diligently to make Westlake Village a wonderful place to live.

Although Philippa was in favor of building a Lowe's store instead of more office buildings, she immediately began working with the other councilpersons to make sure that the office buildings being built in its place will meet our high standards.

For the record, Philippa has voted consistently to keep the city financially strong. She believes in an inclusive community where there is a sense of togetherness and friendliness. She is a strong supporter of helping our city go green and reduce the use of water and power and she is open to ideas that will provide more opportunities for recreation.

As a board member of the Lakeshore HOA responsible for landscaping, I appreciate Philippa's contributions to our city's beautification accomplishments. We have been blessed over the years with a City Council that works together for the good of all. Robert and Carol Amenta Westlake Village
