Old Agoura enjoys Reyes Adobe Days

What an amazing day. Once again, the Old Agoura Homeowners Association came together to produce a fun-filled event in conjunction with Reyes Adobe Days. All of the money raised at the play day went into the OAHA Scholarship Fund that is awarded to graduating high school seniors that have achieved a star status in 4-H.

We had a record amount of participants, starting from age 3 up to adults. The beauty of our neighborhood was evident in the new faces there to enjoy the same thing my children grew up enjoying, horses and friends. It was a day of good oldfashioned fun, enjoyed by spectators and participants.

None of this would have been possible without the tireless efforts of the volunteers. Larry Brown was the announcer. AnnMarie Brown sang our national anthem. Ron Troncatty judged the play day. Jess Thomas made his signature tri-tip. Rick Hernandez, Dave Albaum, Cyrena Nouzille, Robyn Britton, Kelly Morris and Jim Clark all helped set up, cook and clean up.

Candy Shad was the photographer and our amazing score keeper was Kyle Kennan. Joan Hernandez, Tina Barns, Susan Nims, Susan and Ted Rogoff, Donna Flint, Larry Germansky, Tyler Barns, Stacey Goldstein, Nona Green, Patrick and Elizabeth Kolve, Tim and Kathy Hutchinson filled every other spot that needed help.

A special thanks to Nick and the city of Agoura Hills for initiating this city-wide event. I know there were more friends that I need to thank that helped with gates and cleanup because that's how it goes here.

Thanks to all our sponsors: Nona Green, Calabasas Saddlery, Western Bagel and all the families that contributed financially that know the importance of supporting our young people and our community. I am truly blessed to live in Old Agoura and to be associated with all of you.
