Shipmates Gather For A Dilbeck Family Picnic

A YOUNG PIRATE- Showing us his pirate muscle is Captain Kenny Bruinsslot, one of the youngest pirates at Dilbeck Realtors GMAC's Family Picnic held at Brookside Park in Pasadena recently
"Ahoy, matey," was the call at Dilbeck Realtors GMAC's annual family pirate picnic, which took place recently in Pasadena's Brookside Park. This year's event featured all the normal stuff with a little additional pirate stuff thrown in. Let's see, there were treasure hunts for all the kids, softball, volleyball, climbing wall, water wars, inflatable rides, game booths, great food and bingo.

Almost 500 shipmates (Dilbeck agents and staff members along with their families) enjoyed being shipwrecked beneath the spreading oak trees and palms rustling with the slight breeze of a summer day. This year's event also spotlighted Dilbeck Realtors & Associates Charitable Foundation. "Literature was gathered from many of the nonprofit organizations that the foundation has supported during the past couple of years," said Bev Widney, member of the foundation's grants committee. "We wanted to let those in attendance know that their donations are truly making a difference in helping the communities Dilbeck Realtors serves. Our foundation has given out over $287,500 in the past couple of years and we are hoping to increase that figure considerably in the next couple of years."

In-N-Out Burger provided hamburgers. Kirk Dilbeck and Ted Boyce, from Inter Valley Escrow, joined forces with all their office reps and staff and donated the soft drinks and manned the bar. Ambassador Capital hosted the bingo tournament, game and ice cream booths, while First Southwestern Title hosted the climbing wall where everyone took a stab at ringing the bell.

The Dilbeck crowd agreed this year's picnic was a success and there should be another one next year. For food, fun and games, it was a real estate offer no one could refuse.
