Kitty rescued after two days in a tree

CATCALL- Howard Ferguson, a Westlake firefireghter, cuddles a kitty rescued from a 50-foot cyprus tree in Westlake Village earlier this week. The cat, now named Howard after his knight in shining armor, lives with Jill Coop, right. The cat spent two days in the tree, crying for help. When numerous neighbors contacted the fire department, firefighters were given special permission to bring out the hook and ladder to help the critter. The rescue brought cheers from the neighbors gathered in the street to watch the drama unfold. Bob Raser of Westlake Village submitted this photo.
